Are you ready for a surf adventure in a place you've never been to? We'll be staying in two different accommodations along Ghana's Gold Coast and the final schedule for the trip will be determined by the swell and wind forecast – in order to surf some of the best right pointbreaks in West Africa.
Our trip will take place in the Gold Coast of Ghana, where 335 miles of tropical coastline are filled with some of the best mellow right point and beach breaks in West Africa. In August, the coastline is hit by swells up to 3m, with waves occasionally getting more powerful and barreling.
Get to know Ghana's growing and thriving surf community. Spend 5 nights in Kokrobite, a small, lively fishing village next to a super consistent beach break, great live music and mesmerising local dance troupes. Brett, who's been living in Ghana for fifteen years and founded the West Africa Surf Association will be our guide and host for the week.
Travel along Ghana's coast and experience its high biodiversity, from birds to butterflies and small populations of large mammal species. From stunning beaches to natural reserves and mangrove swamps, marvel at this fascinating country, where the equator and the prime meridian meet.

The climate in Ghana is tropical and humid, with temperatures averaging 23°C –32°C. Water temperatures average 26°C. From August to September, it can be a few degrees cooler so we recommend you to bring a spring suit along with your bikini / boardshorts.
Ghana receives sw swells from the South Atlantic Ocean and the best months are from May until October when swells of up to 3m are possible, with waves occasionally getting hollow and powerful. Most of the time the surf is head-high, and we suggest taking a mid-lenght, fish, or another high-volume board in your quiver. The best time for surfing is early in the day before sea breezes rise from the west (some waves are sheltered from the wind).
Bordering the Gulf of Guinea, Ghana has a lush, green 539-km coastline (the Gold Coast). There is a variety of waves with beach breaks, reefs, river mouths, and points to be found along the country’s predominantly southeast-facing coast.
