In August 2024 we traveled to West Africa with a group of frothing intermediate and advanced surfers. Our goal? To score some uncrowded waves in Ghana during prime swell season.
What we found was true adventure: from a very solid swell and the local boat almost capsizing in the surf, to countless hours driving on sketchy roads.
The biggest reward was not the empty pointbreaks and uncrowded epic surf sessions (there were many) but the connections made along the way with the wonderful locals and the welcoming and blooming surf communities of Ghana.
