Your stay on a Boat in the Maldives
The Horizon II is a type of yacht that you don't see often in the Maldives nowadays. It's a traditionally built wooden yacht that is perfect for a small group of surfers. Join a trip onboard this shared boat!
With a spacious deck, comfortable cabins and a team of professional locals on hand, the Horizon II is the perfect boat to hunt for waves: its wooden surf dhoni (a smaller boat) has a surf rack and will support you while you're surfing from sunrise to sunset with a local guide.
You can use all snorkelling and fishing gear for free and for every trip a buffet or BBQ (if the weather allows) is included. You'll find comfortable and air-conditioned Twin and Double bedrooms on the Horizon II, with a view of the Indian Ocean all around you. Every room has a bathroom with hot water.
The Boat's maximum capacity is 12 guests.

We are happy to talk with you and recommend you the best itinerary for your level, just get in touch.
If you are doing the Male or Central itinerary - pick up and drop off will be directly at the airport.
If you are doing the Southern Atolls itinerary - we will help you book the domestic flight south.
If you would like to arrive and depart a few days earlier/later to be able to settle in before the trip and chill down after, we recommend you to stay either in Himmafushi or Thulushdoo: both are close to Male (30min speed boat) and have quality surfing spots within walking distance.
Since the Central and Southern Atolls are harder to access than the Malé Atolls, fewer boats operate in the area – which translates to fewer surfers in the line-up.
Since most surfers heading to the Central and Southern Atolls are usually interested in more advanced waves, this often leaves other more intermediate spots (but still world-class) completely empty. This is the perfect recipe for a week of scoring incredible waves and improving your surfing skills.
If you book within 60 days before departure (including last-minute bookings up to the check-in day), the full amount must be paid immediately upon reservation. Otherwise, the reservation will be considered void.
- After confirmed reservation: 20% of the total amount
- 150 days prior start date: 30% of the total amount
- 120 days prior start date: 50% of the total amount
- 0 days prior start: 100% of the total amount
.If the surf trip is not confirmed from our side because of lack of participants, it will be possible to move your booking to a later date or to get a refund to your bank account or credit card (according to your payment method) of the initial deposit and/or total amount paid.
